A Byzantine Catholic priest has been sent to a psychiatric facility for sexual disorers after he pleaded guilty to charges for his fondling of a 12-year-old boy at the Sewickley YMCA July 3.

The Rev. Daniel Tisak, 32, pleaded guilty Monday in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court to a charge of indecent assault, and Judge Henry Smith sentenced him to two years' probation.

Tisak had been pastor of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church in Avella, Washington County.

As part of the plea agreement, Tisak was ordered to spend at least six months of his probation at St. Luke's Institute, a psychiatric center in Suitland, Md., that treats sexual disorders. Following his release from St. Luke's, Tisak must undergo mental-health counseling, Smith said.
